WELCOME TO THE MAHWAH RECREATION SOCCER PROGRAM WEBSITE
The Township of Mahwah provides a Recreation Soccer program to all Mahwah
Residents during the Fall Sports Season. This program is open to both boys and
girls, from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Kindergartners through 4th graders play in the town amongst their age appropriate
peers.
Fifth through 12th graders play in a "quasi" travel league run by the Northwest
Bergen Soccer Association (NWBSA), whereby Mahwah Teams will play against other
Bergen County Towns throughout the season. These teams will play "home" games
on fields in Mahwah and "away" games at various locations throughout Bergen
County. For more information, please visit: http://nwbsa.org/
RAINOUT/CANCELLATION POLICY:
In case of inclement weather, please check this page up to one hour before game time as well as your e-mail account & telephone for messages. If the game is not called at this point, game time decision will be made by the referee and coaches. Decisions regarding practices will be made 2 hours before the first practice of a particular day--this is because we need to alert Red Bulls' trainers before they drive up to Mahwah.
USE & CONDUCT RULES FOR CONTINENTAL SOLDIER'S FIELD:
All coaches, players, and parents are required to comply
with the following town procedures for Continental Soldier's
Field:
(1) Players and Coaches ONLY are allowed on the field.
Stands identifying bleacher seating for Home and Visitors are provided on both sides of the field. It is expected that coaches will work to both educate the fans and enforce the policies established. Fans are expected to watch the game, not coach from the sidelines. If a fan becomes disruptive, the coach has the right to ask the fan to maintain order or leave the field.
(2) No smoking, gum, sunflower seeds, food or beverages (this includes Gatorade and flavored water) are allowed on the field. The ONLY exception is water for the players and coaches.
(3) Coaches and players are expected to check the field at the conclusion of their games or practices and pick up any water bottles or equipment left by their team.
(4) With limited on site parking available, please encourage car pooling.
